Making a claim for medical & healthcare expenses
Making a claim for medical and healthcare expenses is a very simple process.
- If you have medical insurance such as Southern Cross, Tower etc, make sure you lodge your claim with your insurer first. Request that they return your original accounts and receipts (or certified copies), and include the insurer's remittance advice with your claim. Please note that Marram does not reimburse any insurance policy excess as a matter of law.
- Complete a Marram healthcare claim form. You can download a claim form here.
- Marram makes reimbursement by Direct Credit into your bank account. Please remember to supply your bank account on the claim form and to sign the form.
- Attach all of your original accounts and receipts (or insurance-certified copies) to the form. Photocopies, faxed copies and unsupported EFTPOS receipts do not qualify for reimbursement. This medical services must have been received within the last 12 months in New Zealand and must state the name of the medical practitioner, the name of the person who underwent the treatment, the date of treatment and the payment in full amount.
