Booking Amendments...
Cancellation fees will be applied if you need to amend location or dates for your Holiday Home booking. There will be a 48 hour grace period for accidental incorrect bookings to be amended. Please double check all booking confirmation papers to make sure they are correct.

Updating Personal Details..
If you have moved house, have a new phone number or changed email addresses. You can keep your personal details up to date by logging into Marram Online, selecting MY MARRAM, then edit where necessary. This will enable us to keep accurate membership details.

Have you registered for Marram Online and forgotten your password?? You can fix this by going to the Login page and click on "I've forgotten my password". Enter your registered email address and your password will be sent to you. Healthcare claims...
Please remember to refer to the Checklist on the claim forms. For payment to be considered, we need:
- A signed claim form
- A bank account number
- Dependants to be listed
- Receipts no older than 12 months
- Receipts showing full payment
This will greatly help prompt processing.

Optical Benefit...
Change of vision is no longer required for claiming the Optical Benefit. If you have had an Optometrist Consultation or purchased new Frames/Lenses/Contacts you could be entitled to a $250 maximum reimbursement over a two year period. Visit the Healthcare Benefit page for more information.

Holiday Booking Confirmation...
The Marram Office will be closed from 12 noon on 24 December and will re-open at 8 a.m. on 5 January 2010.
If you happen to lose or misplace your confirmation papers, you are now able to obtain the Lock Box number and House Volunteer's details while our office is closed. Please Login to Marram Online, Click MY MARRAM, then MY HOLIDAYS, and then click on your destination to see the details.

Health Care Claims...
If you are wanting to make a claim and have it paid before Christmas, please ensure you send it to us as soon as possible. Any claims received after 21 December will be processed 10-15 working days after our return to office on 5 January 2010.

Marram Closing Early.....
The Marram office will be closing at 11.00am on Friday the 4th of December due to staff training.
Holiday Home booking confirmation papers can be obtained by logging into your Marram Online profile and selecting MY MARRAM.

Holiday Home Bookings...
When making a Holiday Home booking Online can all members please double check your dates that you are booking, before confirming and making payment. This will ensure that administration time and cancellation fees are kept to a minimum.

Cancellation Fees....
have been reviewed and are effective immediately.
3 weeks or more - 20% 2 - 3 weeks - 30%
1 - 2 weeks - 40% Less than 1 week - 50%
The notice period given before the commencement date of your booking will determine the percentage deduction amount. No refund will apply after the commencement of your stay. For short stays and single night bookings the fee is the cost of the first night’s booking. For all other bookings the fee varies in accordance with the notice period as detailed.

Confirm your Christmas booking.
If you were successful in the Christmas ballot, please remember to confirm your booking by Tuesday 29 September at 4pm. After this time, any bookings that have not been confirmed will be released back into Current Vacancies for other Contributors to book. Please remember that we have a high demand for holiday homes over this period.

Daily and Weekly Bargains to be had...
We have reduced all remaining available homes up to 25 September to $30.00 per night. Weekly homes have been reduced to $100.00 per week (or less). This offer is available from today, for holidays that will be completed by Saturday 26 September.
Surcharge applies to Lifetime Status and Pet Friendlies. These bargains do not apply to existing bookings.

Special Ballots...
Riversdale Beach currently has one Standard Short Stay unit included in the latest Christmas ballot. If you would like to include this home in your Christmas ballot, please complete a Ballot form which can be obtained from the FORMS AND DOWNLOADS tab on our webpage.
Our Pet Friendly homes are balloted manually and would require a completed ballot form to enter your required entries.
These homes are located in Maraetai Beach, Riversdale Beach, New Plymouth, Tokomaru Bay and Westport.

Holiday Home Definitions.
Short Stay - selected homes available to be booked on a nightly basis. Can be booked 6 months prior to tenancy. Not in ballot.
Standard Short Stay - selected homes available to be booked on a nightly or weekly basis and pay no more than the weekly rate for any part week. Can be booked 6 months prior to tenancy. Not in ballot.
Weekly Homes - can be booked nightly if they are available within 14 days of your required occupancy. All weekly homes are balloted.

- Insurance remittance advice forms;
- Confirmation of tooth number treated for Root Canals and surgical extraction of impacted or unerupted wisdom teeth;

Healthcare Benefits...
The Marram Community Trust provides affordable healthcare benefits to those contributors who would not otherwise be able to afford private health insurance. The basic healthcare provides generous rebates from a wide range of healthcare professionals. Click on Take care of your health (above) to obtain comprehensive information on Marram's basic healthcare coverage. Contributors also use Marram to top up their primary health insurance cover, which means it is possible to get 100% of their medical expenses reimbursed.

Martinborough..!!
Two sections have been purchased in the lovely township of Martinborough. Foundations have been laid in preparation for building to commence. We hope that these homes will be ready for Toast Martinborough in November. We will have more information about Martinborough in our Spring Outlook.

New and Improved Marram Receives Positive Feedback
Our new site is proving popular with many contributors taking advantage of discounted holiday homes and providing us with great feedback. Here is just one of the many emails we have received since the release of our new, improved website:-
Hi Team, I Just want to comment and congratulate Marram on your new policy of offering Holiday promotions with reducing rentals. I have not been able to take advantage of any of the promotions as yet due to visting family etc. However, I fully intend to take advantage of new, up and coming promotions in the future. Being retired and able to take a week away during the non peak times, e.g school holidays, is great. I have also been a strong believer in trying to keep the occupancy rate up, and your promotions are a great way of doing just that. I would have been off to Akaroa next week like a shot but Marie my wife (also a member) is booked for a small knee op next week.. Never mind I'm sure something else will come up in the near future. Keep up the good work and professionalism that Marram is showing. Regards Happy contributor.

Lifetime Membership
Following a board meeting in February, the Board of Trustees agreed changes to the lifetime membership eligibility as follows:
From 11 February 2009, Marram Community Trust's Board of Trustees in its absolute discretion agree that to be considered for lifetime membership, an employee must have left employment with a member organisation and had five years service with member organisations, with the last two years having made continuous contributors to Marram. An exception is - if any employee has been dismissed, they are not eligible for lifetime status.
Marram has developed an information booklet for our lifetime members. This is being sent to our newly established lifetime members. If you have any questions on this please contact customer services.
Important Information - People who were contributing to Marram before 1998 and believe they are eligible for lifetime membership must contact customer services to have an Eligibility and Declaration of Employment form emailed or posted to them. This Declaration of Employment must be completed and sent back to Marram before lifetime membership can be granted.

Marram's Reimbursement For Alternative Therapies Has Increased
Marram's reimbursement for alternative therapies consultation fees and treatment has increased from $10 per visit to $20 per visit – see Benefits page for more details. Receipts received from 17 February will be processed under the new rule.

New Health Benefits
- From 1 January 2009, women contributors, partners and dependants can claim for 60% of the costs of a thin prep smear test performed at general practitioner surgeries.
- From 1 March 2009, Preventative Flu vaccination given at GP surgeries can be claimed for 60% of the costs.
Please note that Tamiflu and other elective vaccine drugs remain exempt.

Travel Assistance Update
If you require treatment that is NOT available in your hometown, such as a specialist's appointment or a hospital admission you are eligible to claim for travel costs as outlined below:
- expenses are paid at a flat rate of $30.00 per trip (return) whether private or public transport
- expenses paid are applicable for distances of 100 kilometres (return) or more
- confirmation of a medical appointment required
- up to a maximum of $1250 per medical condition can be claimed.

Optical Assistance
The optical assistance benefit has recently been reviewed. 100% is paid up to a maximum of $250 within a two year period - whether or not a change of vision has occurred; for example a pair of glasses or contact lenses. The customer services team wil be able to answer any questions you may have. Please note special terms and conditions may apply.
