It’s SPCA Treat Week and Baxter’s hoping you’ll climb on board with this brand new event.

Treat Week is a new initiative, replacing the annual fundraiser, Cupcake Day.

Because everyone’s idea of a treat is different, the SPCA says it’s encouraging animal lovers to celebrate Treat Week the way they choose.

Suggestions include making something delicious and selling it or hosting a special event and selling tickets or organising a fundraising morning tea for your office or classroom.

All money raised will go directly to the SPCA for the work it does helping the vulnerable animals that come into its care.

All the details you need can be found at www.treatweek.spca.nz along with lots of fundraising resources. There’s even a recipe book where you can show off the banana cake or sourdough you’ve been perfecting.

Not every animal leads the life of Baxter unfortunately but you could help make life sweeter for them by signing up now and celebrating Treat Week with your friends and the SPCA.
