Baxter’s mate Wilson Rates the Hanmer Pet-friendly Holiday Home

And it’s a clear 10 out of 10 for the popular home.

Two-year-old Wheaten Terrier Wilson is a Hanmer veteran having stayed there many times.

He loves walking in the forests, meeting the locals and even the recent snow was cause for celebration with Wilson acting like a snow plough with the zoomies, dragging his nose through the snow with sheer joy.

Wilson’s human Paula, says he’s a very sociable dog and Hanmer suits him well.

“It’s a very dog-friendly town. Lots of people holiday there with their dogs and there’s lots of socialising and sniffing to be done on a walk downtown.”

Paula says Hanmer cafes and the local Four Square all welcome dogs, providing drinking bowls and water.

She says Wilson’s a busy dog, and Hanmer’s pet-friendly home is perfect for him, well-fenced to a height that keeps him contained but also allows him to see and chat to the neighbours who love him.

He’s also a fan of the sliding doors onto the terrace when it’s hot on summer evenings. He can come and go when he needs to lie on the patio to cool down.

There’s even a woman advertising dog-walking services in Hanmer,  which Paula says is great when you need to leave the dog and spend time in the alpine hot pools.

Wilson takes his own bed when holidaying in a Marram pet-friendly home and also his own water, to avoid the upset tummies which can result from a change in water.

Marram has 18 pet-friendly holiday homes. To find out where they’re located check The Location Guide.

Cheers Wilson, the #dogsofmarram thank you for your review.
