The Board of Trustees is asking the Marram community to please contribute more toward the operation of the Trust. Based on how costs have increased and the expectation of continued high demand for the Marram benefits, the Board has requested contributions increase by $1 per week, or the fortnightly or monthly equivalent, from 1 May 2025.
The contributions are regular gifts of money to help fund the activities of the Trust. Marram has other funding sources too i.e. holiday home rental income and investment income but the contributions are important.
Marram has held on for as long as it can without asking for more money but the pressure is such that there has to be a change. The extra $1 per week per contributing beneficiary will be due from the first payroll deductions or direct debits after 1 May 2025.
A dollar takes the weekly contribution rate from $7.30 to $8.30, fortnightly to $16.60 and monthly to $35.97.
The previous increases were from $6.50 per week to $7.30 from September 2013 and from $5.50 to $6.50 in June 2006
The Board and Marram team will ensure the Trust does it’s very best to live within the $8.30 in the years ahead.
