Refurbs and makeovers – your holiday home made perfect

Marram’s being challenged at the moment like everyone by supply issues, shortages, shipping delays and winter illness, but there’s still a lot of love being thrown at the holiday homes.

In less challenging times the homes would be fully refurbished every six or seven years, but post lockdown most of the scheduled refurb’s have become a more modest makeover.

So what’s the difference?

Well it can be hard to tell as these images of the latest makeover of the Haruru Falls homes show.

In a full refurb everything is replaced, carpets, curtains, lighting, furniture, beds, bedding, kitchenware and artwork and walls are painted .

A makeover is more of a refresher with new furniture, bedding, kitchenware, artwork and maybe curtains.

The makeover crew has been up in Haruru Falls this week and you can see the results of their work here.

Next on the list is Orewa where it’s hoped a full refurbishment will be possible.  We’ll keep you updated.
